Silvia Khoo was educated in Germany where she attended the School of Applied Arts, Hamburg. Further studies in England included Goldsmith College (literature), John Cass College (enamel painting, metalwork), Bradford College of Design and Technology (handloom weaving). She also taught these subjects. A period working in fine art, rare books, prints and antiques provided a unique opportunity to study artistic expression, design and craftsmanship intimately.

Paintings. drawings, prints, enamel paintings, weaving were shown in mixed exhibitions including the Staff Art Exhibition at Sotheby's, Bond Street and numerous one man shows in Surrey and Germany.
